01 Overview

KudiBridge is a Web3 payment infrastructure built to solve a fundamental problem: creators who earn globally can't get paid simply. With the creator economy projected to exceed $2 trillion, cross-border payments remain broken for independent creators, especially in Africa. KudiBridge lets creators generate a personal payment link, share it anywhere, and receive stablecoin payments (USDT/USDC) that can be withdrawn directly to local bank accounts in NGN, KES, GHS, ZAR, and more.

02 The Challenge

African creators and freelancers lose 3-7% of every international payment to fees and poor exchange rates through traditional platforms like Payoneer and Wise, with settlement times of 2-5 days. Existing crypto solutions like Binance are built for traders, not creators, with overwhelming UIs and no invoicing tools. Meanwhile, informal P2P stablecoin trading via WhatsApp and Telegram offers zero accountability and high scam risk. The challenge was to build a payment product that uses crypto as the rail but feels as simple as sharing a link, no wallet addresses, no crypto jargon, no complexity.

03 The Solution

  1. 01Designed and built a creator-first dashboard using Next.js (App Router), React, and TailwindCSS with a mobile-first responsive interface.
  2. 02Implemented personal payment links (kudibridge.com/pay/@handle) that creators can share on social media, WhatsApp, or directly with clients, anyone can pay in USDT/USDC without needing a wallet address.
  3. 03Built an invoice generator for freelance projects, allowing creators to send professional payment requests with specific amounts, descriptions, and unique shareable links.
  4. 04Developed a real-time activity feed showing every payment confirmed with both USDC and local currency values, powered by a live FX rate engine.
  5. 05Architected the backend with Node.js/NestJS, PostgreSQL, and a modular blockchain layer that separates the creator-facing app from payment processing, enabling new stablecoins, chains, and off-ramp partners to be added without rebuilding the core product.
  6. 06Integrated local bank withdrawal (fiat off-ramp) so creators see real money, not crypto complexity, covering NGN, KES, GHS, and ZAR markets.
  7. 07Built a waitlist landing page deployed on Vercel to validate demand before full launch, targeting the first 500 creators.
