01 Overview

OptimuzHomez is a real estate broker app built to simplify the property search experience in Nigeria and beyond. Founded by CEO Odugbade Opeyemi with the vision that finding a home should be an enjoyable and straightforward process, the app connects clients directly with property owners, real estate agents, and developers through a single mobile platform. Available on both the App Store and Google Play, it has grown into a trusted hub for real estate transactions with global accessibility.

02 The Challenge

Nigeria's real estate market has long been plagued by fragmented listings, lack of transparency, and the difficulty of physically visiting properties across vast distances. Buyers and renters often face uncertainty and frustration navigating between multiple agents, unverified listings, and outdated information. The challenge was to build a mobile-first platform that consolidates the entire property discovery and transaction journey, from search to agent communication, into a seamless, trustworthy experience accessible from anywhere in the world.

03 The Solution

1. 01Built a cross-platform mobile app using Flutter and Dart, enabling a single codebase to serve both iOS (requires iOS 14.0+) and Android users with native performance.
2. 02Implemented advanced property search with filters for location, price range, property type, and number of bedrooms, along with an agent-based search feature introduced in version 1.4.0.
3. 03Integrated 360° virtual property tours allowing users to explore properties remotely, saving time for both buyers and agents while expanding the app's reach to international users.
4. 04Built a mortgage calculator tool that helps users estimate monthly payments and plan finances before committing to a property.
5. 05Developed comprehensive property listings with high-quality images, detailed descriptions, and neighborhood information including nearby amenities and area insights.
6. 06Created a direct communication system connecting users with real estate agents for personalized assistance, property viewings, and transaction support.
7. 07Implemented in-app purchase tiers for premium features, with pricing localized across multiple currencies (NGN, USD, GBP, AUD, ZAR, AED).
